This policy explains what personal data Student AI Hub (studentaihub.tech) collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Student AI Hub is run by StudentAIHub, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. For anything in this policy, write to aihubstudent@gmail.com.
We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it. We are the "data fiduciary" for the data described here.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Your password is used only to log you in.
- If you sign in with Google: Google tells us your name, your email address and that the email is verified. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, Drive files or any other Google data, and we never post anything to your Google account.
- Study profile: details you choose to give, such as your class, course, exam and preferred language (English, Hindi or Hinglish).
- What you create and upload: your questions to the AI and its answers, saved notes and projects, files you upload, mock tests you take and their scores, and feedback or support messages.
- Payments: the plan or credit pack you bought, the amount, date and the Razorpay order and payment IDs. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Razorpay and never reach us.
- Credits: a record of credits added and used, so you can see where they went.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and the time of requests, used for security, preventing abuse and fixing errors.
We do not collect your phone contacts, location, Aadhaar or other government ID numbers. Voice typing (the mic button) uses your browser's built-in speech recognition, and we receive only the text it produces.
2. Why we use it
- To run your account and give you the features you use: AI answers, mock tests, notes, file tools and exam notifications.
- To process payments, add credits and keep the records tax laws require.
- To keep the service safe: stopping spam, abuse and misuse, and investigating problems.
- To answer your support and feedback messages, and to fix and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal data, we do not show third-party ads, and we do not use your data to track you across other websites.
3. AI providers
When you ask a question, the question (and any file you attach to it) is sent to the AI model you choose so it can write the answer: Groq (which also runs Qwen), Google (Gemini), OpenAI (GPT), Anthropic (Claude) or Cloudflare Workers AI (which runs the Gemma, Llama and Nemotron models). If a provider is busy or unavailable, your question may be answered by another of these providers so that you still get an answer. AI mock papers are written by Groq's AI models or Anthropic's Claude, whichever you choose. The "HD voice" read-aloud option sends the answer text to Google to make the audio. We send only what is needed for that request, not your name or email. Each provider handles the data under its own terms for business (API) customers. Files you upload are sent to an AI only when you attach them to a question.
Please don't put sensitive personal information (such as health details or ID numbers) into questions or files.
4. Who else receives data
- Razorpay, to take payments.
- The AI providers listed above, only for the requests you make.
- Cloudflare, which runs some of the AI models listed above and is a backup for others.
- Our email service, which delivers verification codes, reminders and your feedback to us. It handles your email address and the message.
- Our hosting provider, whose servers store the service's data.
- Google Sign-In, if you choose "Continue with Google": Google confirms who you are and shares only your name and email address with us. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the text fonts on some pages (your browser downloads them from Google).
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep data
- Account data, notes, chats and files are kept while your account is open. Anything you delete yourself (a file, note, chat or conversation) is removed from your account straight away.
- When your account is deleted, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except payment records, which we keep for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and fixing problems.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
- correct or update it;
- delete your account and personal data;
- withdraw consent (this means closing your account, since the service can't run without the data);
- name another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or can't act yourself.
To do any of this, email aihubstudent@gmail.com from the email address on your account, so we know the request is really from you. We reply within 15 days.
7. Security
Pages are served over HTTPS, uploaded files are visible only to your account, and access to the server is restricted to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Browser storage
We use cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you logged in, to remember settings such as your language, chosen voice and display options, and to keep a copy of your recent chats and notes, and a finished mock paper (for up to 12 hours), on your own device so the site loads quickly. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Grievance officer
For any complaint about your data or this policy, contact our Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, StudentAIHub, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, email aihubstudent@gmail.com. We acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and aim to resolve them within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you on the website or by email before they apply.
